Technique

  1. Hold a weight by your side, then lift it up in front of you.
  2. Continue lifting it upward until it is overhead.
  3. Continue the motion by slowly bringing it back down behind you, until it is back at the starting position.
  4. Perform this movement in both directions; a full circle in any direction (forward or backward) counts as one repetition.
