Long sphinx pushup (Triceps extension)

Technique

  1. Start in a Long plank position.
  2. Bend at the elbows to bring your forearms towards the ground until you almost touch the ground with your elbows.
  3. Then push yourself back up to the starting position.

Form tips

  1. Move both forearms at the same time.
  2. There is a specific distance between your hand placement and your shoulders that is optimal to make this exercise easier. From that position, moving the hands back will make it harder and closer to a Sphinx pushup , while moving the hands forward will make it harder as well and closer to a Short Lalanne pushup . Find that optimal distance and start there before moving on to harder variations.
