Technique

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a resistance band in front of you just below chest level and the elbows bent.
  2. Pull the band apart horizontally, moving your hands towards the sides and back, pressing lightly the band below your chest.
  3. Pause briefly, then return to the starting position with control.

Form tips

  1. Engage your shoulder blades, squeezing them together at the end of the movement as you pull the band apart.
  2. Keep the movement controlled, avoiding quick or jerky motions.
