Wall quad stretch (Couch stretch)

Technique

  1. Place your back leg against a wall or other sturdy support (such as a couch).
  2. Place the other foot in front of you and use it to push your upper body back up and bring it vertical.
  3. At this point, you should feel an intense stretch in your thigh.
  4. Hold for time and take deep breaths.

Form tips

  1. The knee should be as close as possible to the support, and ideally right against it, to make the stretch more intense.
  2. Avoid arching your back, as this makes the stretch less intense.
