Technique

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart in front of a cable machine with a straight bar or rope attachment set at the highest position.
  2. Grip the bar or rope with both hands, palms facing down, and step slightly back to create tension in the cable.
  3. Pull the bar down in a controlled motion, keeping your arms straight, until your hands reach your thighs.
  4. Slowly return the bar to the starting position.

Form tips

  1. Maintain a slight forward lean but don’t hunch over.
