Technique

  1. Lie face down on your mat, with your legs extended and the tops of your feet resting on the mat.
  2. Place your forearms on the mat with your elbows directly under your shoulders.
  3. Engage your Glutes to protect your lower back.
  4. Press your forearms and palms into the mat to lift your chest and upper body up.
  5. Relax your shoulders downward ( Shoulder depression ).
  6. Lengthen your spine.
  7. Gaze forward to keep your neck relaxed.
  8. Hold the pose for a comfortable duration while breathing deeply.

Form tips

  1. To make the pose active, pull your shoulders down and back, engaging your muscles.
  2. Push your chest forward.
