Technique
- Begin by standing with a Barbell firmly gripped at shoulder height.
- Start with a slight dip at the knees, then explosively drive through your legs, straightening them and pressing the Barbell overhead.
- Finish with arms fully extended overhead.
- Lower the weight back down to your shoulders with control.
Form tips
- Engage your core muscles throughout the movement to maintain stability.
- Ensure a controlled dip at the knees, avoiding excessive bouncing or dipping.
- Use the power generated from your lower body to assist in pressing the weight overhead.
- Keep your elbows slightly forward and under the bar during the press.
