Technique

  1. From a standing position, bring the sole of one foot to the inside edge of the opposite calf.
  2. Externally rotate the bent leg to bring the knee to the side, while keeping a steady, tall stance.
  3. Gaze forward.
  4. Press the palms together in front of the chest in Prayer Position.
  5. Focus on developing strength and stability in the standing foot, leg and hip.

Form tips

  1. Keep the gaze and breath steady to help with balance.
  2. Stamp down into the standing leg to keep it active and retain balance.
  3. Press the palms together firmly to bring awareness to the center line of the body and retain balance.
