Technique
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells by your sides, palms facing in.
- Keep a slight bend in your elbows, raise both arms to the sides until they're parallel to the floor.
- Lower the dumbbells back to the starting position with control.
Form tips
- Maintain a neutral spine throughout the exercise, avoiding arching or rounding your back.
- Focus on using the shoulder muscles to lift the weights, not momentum or other body parts.
- Control the movement, especially during the lowering phase to work the muscles fully.
