Technique

  1. Lying on your back (supine position), extend your arms from the shoulders with palms facing up and a small distance away from the hips.
  2. Allow the legs and feet to relax into position with the toes facing slightly outward, and about hip width or slightly wider.
  3. Rest the head on the center of the back of the head.
  4. Release any tension from head to toes and take rest.

Form tips

  1. Adjust the shoulder blades underneath you so that you have space between the ears and shoulders, and feel like you can breathe fully into the chest with each inhale.
  2. Release any tension from the shoulders, hips, belly, arms and legs.
  3. Soften the jaw.
  4. Allow the breath to find a natural, soft rhythm.
