From a kneeling position, fold forward from the hips, taking the forehead to the floor and resting the hands and arms alongside the body with the palms facing up.
Alternatively, extend the arms overhead with the palms facing down.
Form tips
This is a resting pose - a good posture to come to when you need to catch your breath. Feel the breath in the back body and allow a softening in the lower back as you breathe.
For tight knees, place a blanket behind the knees so that the knee joints don’t have to fully close.
For tight ankles, place a blanket under the ankles for cushion and support.
