From Standing front leg toe hold , swing the extended leg to the side, keeping the leg as straight as possible, and slowly shifting the gaze in the opposite direction once you’ve found your balance.
Come back to the starting position before lowering the leg.
Form tips
Try to coordinate breath with movement, and only move the head once you’ve found balance: exhale as you swing the leg to the side to help you stabilize through the standing leg.
Try to feel the action of the hip for this movement - opening the hip as the leg swing out to the side, closing the hip as you bring it back to center.
Use a wall for balance as needed until you are able to balance without assistance.
