Technique

  1. From a standing position, fold forward and place your hands on the floor.
  2. Shift your weight to one leg and hand, lifting the opposite leg, hip, side body and hand up.
  3. Turn your chest to face that side.
  4. Look up at the extended hand.
  5. Reach out through the extended leg and arm.

Form tips

  1. For easier balance, take the hand toward the outside edge of the standing leg, and a little further away, or choose Supported half moon pose.
