Technique

  1. From a Straddle handstand position, tilt the hips slightly to create a diagonal in the Straddle position . Keep the legs tense and pulled in towards the body, so that your legs and hips don't drift too far out.
  2. Lift the support hand and immediately place it next to the base hand. Stabilize a neutral Straddle position .
  3. Tilt the hips in the opposite direction as in step 2, so the other hand is now the base hand. Lift the support hand briefly and place it in a standard width handstand position. Stabilize a neutral Straddle position .
  4. Repeat this side walk by alternating walking the hands together into a narrow position and back to a normal width position. Make sure to practice walking both directions.
