Technique

  1. Start in a horse stance position, with your legs opened wide, your knees bend at about 90 degrees, and your torso upright.
  2. Shift your weight to one leg and lift the other leg high up in the air.
  3. Optional: slap your thigh when your leg is at its highest point for dramatic effect.
  4. Land back smoothly and sink your hips as low as possible.
  5. Repeat on the other side.
