Technique

  1. Start in a Rings plank position.
  2. Lower yourself down until your body is at least as low as your hands.
  3. Then push yourself back up to the starting position.

Form tips

  1. Keep the rings parallel: do not let them turn inward. Keeping them parallel will force you to work your shoulder external rotators.
  2. Optionally, you can also turn the rings out completely at the top of the movement for extra stimulus on the external rotators.
  3. Keep your Abs engaged and a posterior Pelvic tilt .
  4. Your wrists should be below your shoulders.
  5. Arms are close to the body - max 45° out.
  6. Keep your head neutral (do not crane forward).
