Foot-to-shin

Foot-to-shin (Foot on shin)

Skill Tree

Technique

  1. The base lies face up with the knees bent at 90 degrees.
  2. Standing between the base's legs, the flyer leans forward to connect hands in a Clasped hand grip .
  3. The flyer steps onto the base's shins, just below the knees.
  4. When stable, release the hands so the flyer can stand up.
  5. To exit, the flyer squats down, reconnects hands and steps off the base one foot at a time.

Form tips

  1. The flyer may place the big toe on one side of the base's shin, but exact foot placement differs from person to person, so find what works for you!
  2. An easier version for the base is to bring the knees closer to the chest.
  3. Both partners squeeze inward with the legs ( Hip adductors ), and the base pushes against the soles of the flyer's feet to keep a strong contact point.
