Technique

  1. Stand or sit with one Dumbbell in each hand, held straight overhead.
  2. Bend your elbows, lowering the weights behind your head, keeping the upper arms close to your ears.
  3. Extend your arms upward, straightening at the elbow and returning to the starting position.

Form tips

  1. Keep your elbows close to your head, pointing forward throughout the movement; resist the temptation to let them flare out to the sides.
  2. Engage your Abs to stabilize your body and avoid arching your back.
  3. Control the movement, focusing on using the Triceps to extend the arms.
