Technique

  1. Stand facing a cable machine with a high attachment point, and use a straight or angled bar.
  2. Grasp the bar with an overhand grip, elbows bent and close to your body.
  3. Push the bar downward by straightening your arms, fully extending them toward the floor.
  4. Return to the starting position by controlling the upward movement of the bar.

Form tips

  1. Keep your upper arms close to your sides and stationary during the press down.
  2. Engage your Abs to stabilize your body and avoid leaning forward or backward.
  3. Focus on a controlled, deliberate movement, avoiding sudden or jerky motions.
