Base begins by lying face-up and flyer will begin standing on each side of base's hips, facing base.
Base will extend elbows in front of their face, angle hands so their palms are facing towards the flyer, and flex forward to reach flyer's hips while flyer leans into the hands of the base.
Base places their thumbs, pointers, and middle fingers on the front of the flyer's hips, and the ring and pinky fingers on the sides of the flyer's hips.
Flyer will lift at the chest and bend their knees while reaching for their ankles.
To exit, flyer will unbend knees and release their ankles, bringing hands back to the base's hands.
Base will lower flyer until their feet touch the ground.
Form tips
Both people maintain a Hollow body , except for the flyer when they perform an Arch body for the bow.
Placement on the flyer's hips will depend on many factors such as the size of the base's hands, the width of flyer's hips, and the difference in height between partners, so find what feels comfortable for both of you!
Base's hands become kind of a fulcrum for the flyer's hips. The finger placement on the front of the hips is to help keep the flyer steady while they perform the bow position.
