Technique

  1. Stand in front of a wall, then place your palms on the ground, with your fingers facing forward a short distance from the wall.
  2. Bring your legs up against the wall. It might take a while to figure out how to get your legs up there but keep trying and you will get it!
  3. Bring your legs together and straighten your body. Hold that position for time and aim to improve your form as you practice it.

Form tips

  1. The fingertips should be almost touching the wall, or less than a few centimeters away (= a couple inches).
  2. The hands should be about shoulder-width apart, so that the arms are vertically placed under the shoulders.
  3. The arms should be straight at the elbows.
  4. Aim to open at the shoulders, so that your arms are aligned with your torso.
  5. Aim to straighten your lower back as well, by using a posterior Pelvic tilt and pulling your bellybutton towards your spine.
