Technique

  1. Bend one arm and place it behind your head.
  2. Pull on that elbow with your other hand to push it down.

Form tips

  1. You can slightly intensify the stretch by bending laterally towards the non-working side.
  2. Keep your chest open to push your shoulder and arm towards the back.
  3. Avoid flexing your neck by letting the arm push on your head: instead, resist it by pushing your head back against your arm to intensify the stretch.
