L-base to start, with the flyer standing to one side of the base's head, facing the base.
The base bends the elbows to 90 degrees and takes a Hand-to-hand grip on the flyer's feet.
To step up, the flyer enters one foot at a time, keeping a "high heel": pressing mainly through the ball of the foot and raising the heel.
The base keeps the feet up to assist the flyer if needed.
To exit, the flyer steps down one foot at a time, being careful not to step on the base's head.
Form tips
The base pushes through the pointer and middle fingers to support the flyer's arches.
The flyer engages the inner thighs ( Hip adductors ) for a slight inward pull and keeps the heels raised.
To dismount safely, the flyer comes forward while the base pushes the flyer's feet forward and off, presenting their own feet to the flyer for more support.
