Technique

  1. Start in a lunge and slide your front foot forward and your back foot backward.
  2. Lower your hips toward the ground until both legs are fully extended in opposite directions.
  3. Hold the position while breathing deeply.

Form tips

  1. Keep your hips square to the front; do not let them rotate to the side.
  2. Maintain an upright torso.

Risks

  1. Avoid forcing the position to prevent muscle tears.
