Training with resistance bands
Variable resistance, assistance, instability, short vs long bands
Elastic bands are light, portable, and anchor to almost anything, letting you train your whole body.
The more a band stretches, the harder it pulls, giving accommodating resistance: banded push-ups get hardest at lockout, while band-assisted pull-ups help most at the bottom, right where it's toughest.
A stretched band also wobbles instead of holding a fixed line, adding instability that forces your stabiliser muscles to work harder.
Band length matters: short loops (ankle/knee) suit warm-ups and mobility, while long bands (anchored to a bar or door) cover bigger movements like assisted pull-ups.
