Joint stacking

Holding a limb in a straight line so the joints stack over one another and the muscles, rather than momentum, hold the shape. In L-base, for example, the base keeps the forearms in line with the upper arms and the upper arms in line with the shoulders, building a stable, relaxed line from hand to shoulder.
