Hollow body
A hollow body position is often used in calisthenics and gymnastics exercises. It involves activating the abdominals, using a posterior pelvic tilt, and pulling your rib cage down. As a result of these muscle contractions, your torso forms a concave crescent shape and your back is slightly rounded.
This position can be used for various purposes depending on the exercise, such as increasing tension in the abdominals, protecting the lower back or ensuring proper form and alignment.
