Background mode

Calistree is able to keep the Session running while being in the background.

This is especially useful when combined with the Auto-play mode and using audio guidance: you can then keep your phone locked (which saves battery) and focus on your workout with no screen distraction.

The OS can still pause background apps at any point. We use a persistent notification to reduce the chance of interruption and let you know if you need to reopen the app.

If you are on Android, also open the app info > App battery usage > Allow background usage.

Note: if you set a timer for a long activity, you can close the app. When you come back, the timer will still be running as if there had been no interruption.
