Enter a Chest-to-wall handstand with a cartwheel. If the left hand plants first, the right leg should be swinging up.
After stabilizing the position, open your legs into a Straddle position . The toes should be the only point of contact on the wall. The nose should also touch the wall if you take the head to a neutral position and look at the wall. This is the proper distance for the drill.
Begin by tilting the hips above one hand. Then, push hard into the floor with this base hand and pull up the other hand to touch the shoulder on the same side. It is normal to fall out while learning this drill, but try to fall gracefully in the same cartwheel motion that is used for the entrance. This will build side flexibility and strength.
Avoid pushing the hips too far out to the side. To tilt the hips, focus on pulling the legs down and in. It may help to think about pulling the Quadriceps to the ribcage.
After completing the drill, exit via cartwheel as slowly and gracefully as possible.
